Too good to be true?
While I’m here, I’m participating in this program called tandem learning. Basically the language center at University of Padova pairs me up with an Italian student who wants to learn English better, and we meet like once a week a speak a little of both language. My partner’s name is Marta, and she lives here in Padova and goes to law school in Ferrara. So basically, I meet her once a week, which I think means going out for drinks with her and her friends, speak some italian and some english, and then at the end of the semester I get a certificate that says I completed the Tandem Learning Program and apparently looks really good when applying for jobs… Sweet. I’m meeting her for the first time tonight and going for spritz in the piazza with her and her friends. She seems really nice on facebook, and hopefully it’ll be fun and relaxed and helpful.
